As I watched the bullying happen on camera I seethed at the bully but found myself incredulous at the complacency of the present adults. They would look the other way or intervene only to blame the victim for allowing themselves to be the victim.

Now that the holidays are over and credit card bills have replaced Christmas cards in our mailboxes I thought it was a good time to write about “The” Christmas Spirit: Santa Claus.
If you are feeling adventurous this Thanksgiving why not smoke your turkey on the grill? I’ve done it for five years and will never go back to the kitchen oven. You get lots and fresh air and free up the oven for the rest of the food. And, nothing tastes better than a bloody mary out in the grill smoke first thing in the morning.
I don’t normally write about political issues; however, I don’t believe this is as much a political issue as it is a family issue. A neighborhood issue.
First, let me say that our family is lucky to have the option of having a stay-at-home parent. My wife, with much hard work, has excelled in her career allowing me the option of being the stay-at-home dad and Chief Household Officer.
One of the reasons my role of Chief Household Officer and stay-at-home-dad works for our family is that I am a pretty good cook.
